Our Shirazes

In 2007, Alex McKay released the first Collector wine, the Marked Tree Red Shiraz 2005 - which went on to become NSW Wine of the Year. Within a few years, Alex had released the Reserve Shiraz, winning four trophies and Best Red Wine at the Royal Sydney Wine Show (with the Reserve Shiraz 2008). In 2023, we introduced a Hilltops shiraz to our range - the Cherry Orchard Shiraz.

We want to offer you a finely crafted cool-climate shiraz, whatever the occasion. Our shirazes are made for longevity, and in their youth exhibit a tautness and tension that matures into focused power. Our vision for these wines is that they’ll give life and liveliness at twenty years of age. Complexity, balance, and - we trust - an appreciation of the winemaking craft which has allowed the wines to stand the test of time.
