Collector Wines was founded by Alex McKay in 2005 with a clear intention: to craft elegant, long-lived wines that speak distinctly of place. His first release, the Marked Tree Red Shiraz 2005, went on to be awarded NSW Wine of the Year — an early marker of the direction and ambition behind the wines.

Today, Collector Wines is recognised for a range that reflects the clarity and character of the Canberra Wine District. Working with carefully selected parcels of fruit from vineyards across the region, Alex approaches each wine with precision and intuition, allowing site and variety to lead. The result is a collection of wines defined by balance, structure and quiet confidence.
